Recognition reflects The CORE Institute’s expertise and commitment to delivering evidence-based care for patients suffering from persistent low back pain
PHOENIX (July 22, 2026) — The CORE Institute is proud to announce that Eric Feldman, MD, an interventional spine and pain management specialist, has earned Boston Scientific’s Intracept™ Center of Excellence (COE) designation for The CORE Institute. Intracept™ is a minimally invasive, outpatient treatment. Using radiofrequency energy, physicians target the nerve within the vertebrae to interrupt pain signals at their source. The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes and is the only FDA-approved treatment specifically designed for persistent low back pain.
The Intracept™ Center of Excellence designation is awarded to select physicians and practices that demonstrate extensive experience with the procedure, consistent performance, and a commitment to patient outcomes. To qualify, physicians must meet six different criteria including advanced Intracept™ training, number of completed cases within a certain period, and educating other physicians and patients about related pain symptoms and the procedure. To date, Dr. Feldman has completed over 100 Intracept™ procedures.
