Phoenix, Ariz. – For a student athlete and their parents, nothing is scarier than wondering if you have a more serious injury than simple soreness, only to have to wait several weeks to get checked by an orthopedic expert. By the time an appointment occurs, the season may be half-over, or the student athlete continues to compete only to later learn they created more damage to the injury.

The CORE Institute, powered by Excellence Headquarters®, is proud to announce that they will soon offer a Saturday Sports Injury Walk-In Clinic at their North Phoenix location. This program is in alignment with their ‘2-Day Athlete Guarantee’, which promises to evaluate any athlete with an acute injury within 48 hours.

Throughout the fall season, the clinic will be staffed by a sports medicine specialist. The CORE Institute team will also have access to a full range of diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray.

“Whether our patient is in high school or in college, this program makes student athletes a top priority because we know they want to get back in the game as soon as possible if they can,” said Tiffany Hudnutt ATC, M.Ed, Sports Medicine Coordinator at The CORE Institute. “A two-day turn-around time showcases our commitment to the sports medicine community and importance for young men and women to continue being active in their favorite sport.”

The CORE Institute Saturday Sports Injury Clinic promises quick and cost-effective care for patients of all ages for acute, non-urgent sports injuries including: Sprains and strains, closed fractures and possible fractures, minor dislocations, or other sports-related injuries. The clinic will not be staffed to evaluate concussions.

The program runs every Saturday from August 27 until October 22, 2016, from 9:00am until 11:00am. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is necessary. Most insurances are accepted. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. The CORE Institute – North Phoenix is located at 18444 N 25th Avenue, Suite 210, Phoenix, Arizona 85023.
