Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about pain management at The CORE Institute
Do these procedures hurt?
We use local numbing. Most describe the feeling as “pressure” or a quick sting. The goal is to stop pain, not cause more of it.
How long is recovery?
Usually minimal. For many injections, you’re back to normal activity the next day, though you might feel some temporary site soreness.
Are the results permanent?
Some are (like RFA), while others (like steroid shots) are temporary “reset buttons” to help you progress in your physical therapy.
What are the risks or side effects?
Minimal, but can include temporary soreness or infection. We discuss specific risks for your procedure during your consultation.
Will my insurance cover it?
Most procedures are covered when medically necessary. We handle the pre-authorization process for you to make it easy.
