Leila Ettefagh, MD is a board certified and fellowship-trained physician at The CORE Institute, specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Management. Dr. Ettefagh’s primary goal is to improve the quality of life of her patients by alleviating pain, improving their functions, and preventing future injuries. Her clinical approach incorporates educating her patients about their conditions, thoroughly informing them of all available options, promoting conservative pain management and lifestyle modification.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. Ettefagh provided care to patients as a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist in Tehran, Iran before moving to the United States. Dr. Ettefagh completed her residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She began practicing in Michigan at the Detroit Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. Thereafter, Dr. Ettefagh completed her fellowship training in pain medicine at prestigious Henry Ford Health System in Michigan.

Dr. Ettefagh has more than ten years of clinical experience and seven years dedicated to physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Ettefagh is an expert in treating musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders with a multidisciplinary approach. She implements the latest and most optimal treatment options that result in exceptional outcomes for her patients.
