The Core Institute office is massive, surprisingly they are brilliantly efficient in their office practices! Walked in and immediately received X-rays on premises. My visit with Dr Dobrusin was on time and the information I received was hugely helpful. I’m expecting that my Achilles tendon will soon be feeling much better with the guidance and PT that’s been scheduled. Just super impressed because I was not really sure what I could do for an on and off type of pain and swelling. I had a very painful cupped nail on my big toe from an old injury. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Dobrusin from the first as he listened to me and gave me all the options, being very frank. We decided on a procedure, he talked to me throughout, telling me what he was doing. I felt no pain and am completely happy with my visit. Got clear instructions for care. This is the 2nd time I have seen Dr. Dobrusin regarding foot issues. He identifies with athletes because he is an athlete! He listened to my concerns, was in tune with how my condition affected me and made it very clear how to take care of it to heal quickly and completely. Feet hurt from what I mistakenly thought were plantar warts. Dr explained how my high arches and lack of any padding on balls of feet produced excess pressure and resulted in seed corns. This was my first appointment. Doctor was very thorough even though he had no definite answers. He discussed potential treatment and I am to talk to a foot surgeon regarding possible surgery. Dr. Dobrusin is unlike any other Dr. that I have seen about my feet. First of all, he is very matter of fact. He's not about telling you what you want to hear/know. He tells you what you need to hear/know. He has helped me with my bone spurs in just a few months time when I have been seeing other Dr's for years. To me it makes no sense that they are not sharing the same info with me that he is. AND what he is telling me to do is actually working. He is also very kind and genuine. WOW... Dr. Dobrusin takes you back to what doctors use to be. He was so professional and also personable. My mother inlaw has dementia and he took the time to get to know her, talk with her and take her mind off what he was doing to make her comfortable. She anticipates things and becomes very nervous. He kept talking with her and asking questions about her. Loved loved his way of calming her. He explained what he was doing and made us both comfortable. Wow! If only all doctors were as awesome as Dr Dobrusin is, we as patients would live much happier lives! I worked in the oil field on drilling rigs in my early years and raced motocross and cross country for nearly 20 years. I'm 61 more and needless to say I've beat the crap out of my body. 7 major spine surgeries, left shoulder rebuilt, broken collar bones, broken ankle, broke toes, fingers and a couple of bad concussions. Why am I telling you this? I've seen A LOT of doctors in my life time and none come close to Dr Dobrusin. The time he took to get to know me personally, my work background, health background and finally what brought me into his office. He is super thorough and the best doctor I've ever been to. Dr. D explained three options for my treatment. He was prepared to do one of them today but I needed time to think about it and he understood. It was a very good appointment - no pressure - so I'll be back soon to exercise one of the options. The wait time was insignificant. Dr. Dobrusin is fantastic, no other way to say it. His approach to the situation and the way he explains the options are clear and to the point. He fixed an ingrown nail issue that I've been having since I moved here from Pennsylvania. He gave me some options and did what we hope will be the final solution.
