Nirain D’Souza, MD, is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon at The CORE Institute specializing in conditions that affect the foot and ankle.
Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. D’Souza held the position of partner and physician at Midwest Orthopaedic Center. Furthermore, he served as the Medical Staff Committee Member-at-Large at Unity-Point Health. Concurrently, he led as the Director of Outpatient Orthopaedic Surgery and Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Center for Health ASC during the same period.
Dr. D’Souza attended Chicago Medical School, where he earned his Doctoral Degree. He then went on to complete his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey. Furthering his education, Dr. D’Souza completed a Fellowship in Foot & Ankle Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. D’Souza excels in tailoring treatment options to suit his patients’ needs. He customizes care plans to address a range of conditions such as ligament and tendon tears, collapsed arches, achilles injuries, bunion correction, and deformity correction. Apart from his surgical expertise, he also employs non-surgical treatment approaches for his patients.
