Justin T. Butler, DO, is a Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Hip & Knee Reconstruction and Total Joint Replacement.
Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. Butler completed his orthopedic residency training at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center, a Level I trauma center in Toledo, OH. During residency, he created academic curriculums, led daily didactics, and developed the research program infrastructure for his resident colleagues. Dr. Butler had a keen interest in hip and knee biomechanics and how to utilize technology and principles to enhance the surgical experience and patient outcomes. Following residency, Dr. Butler completed his specialty fellowship training at The CORE Institute, where he developed advanced skills for minimally invasive approaches for the hip and knee, robotics and computer navigated joint replacement, and revision total hip and knee replacements.
Dr. Butler received his doctoral degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Prior to his medical education, Dr. Butler was a four-year starter and All-Regional outside linebacker and kick returner for the University of Redlands Bulldog Football team. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Chemistry and Physical Education. Dr. Butler has a passion for high-performance training, outdoor recreation, and spending time with his wife and two boys.
While actively providing care for his patients in the community, Dr. Butler continues to participate in orthopedic research and education to further the field of orthopedic surgery.
