About Dr. Ben

David A. Ben-Aviv, MD, a board certified specialist in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation and serves The CORE Institute as Division Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation. He is the Chief Medical Office of Santé and Program Director of Santé of Chandler, Santé of Mesa and Santé of North Scottsdale and Santé of Surprise. Dr. Ben-Aviv has an interest in developing programs and post-acute care strategies to deliver high quality care in a cost efficient manner.

Dr. Ben-Aviv practiced in Northern California performing disability exams and in Amarillo, Texas in occupational health and rehab before arriving in Arizona. Focusing on inpatient and sub-acute rehabilitation, Dr. Ben-Aviv also is a certified acupuncturist providing The CORE Institute patients an additional treatment option.

Dr. Ben-Aviv completed his residency training at Stanford University, where he served as a resident, as well as appointed Chief Resident, in physical medicine and rehabilitation. While at Stanford University, Dr. Ben-Aviv was awarded the Peter Singleton Award for Excellence and Loyalty. A native New Yorker, Dr. Ben-Aviv completed his medical degree with Thomas Jefferson University in Pennsylvania and received his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at Cornell University.
