Physical therapy and home exercise programs
Physical therapy is one of the most effective and long-lasting treatments for knee pain. Some of the best and most rapid outcomes are seen with following a dedicated course of guided therapy and exercise. Our Knee specialists work closely with our Physical Therapists to develop a comprehensive plan that is tailored to your needs.
Viscosupplementation
Viscosupplementation is an injection in which fluid is injected into the knee joint which is thought to help improve the lubrication of the body’s normal joint fluid. Although there is no cure for osteoarthritis viscosupplementation may reduce arthritis-related pain and improve mobility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Knee care at The CORE Institute
When should I see a Knee specialist?
If your knee “gives out,” locks, or swells significantly. Persistent grinding or clicking under the kneecap is also a sign.
How long does recovery take after a Knee Surgery?
Arthroscopic (scope) surgery is quick (weeks); total replacement takes longer (months) to reach full strength and mobility.
Can common knee injuries be treated without surgery?
Yes. We use “gel” shots, bracing, and targeted PT to stabilize the joint and potentially delay or avoid the need for surgery.
Can prevention programs help reduce future knee injuries?
Yes, we offer programs to strengthen the “support system” (quads and hamstrings) to protect the ACL and other vital ligaments.
Do I have to be an athlete to see a sports medicine provider?
Nope! We treat everyone from “weekend warriors” to grandparents who just want to garden or walk the dog without pain.

Despite the pain I have experienced, these professionals have significantly improved my quality of life! Definitely Recommend!”
