Lucy Bowers, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant working alongside Dr. Surina.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Lucy earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Health Sciences from the University of Kentucky, where she also completed a minor in Health Advocacy and a certificate in Undergraduate Research in Human Health Sciences. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky, where she served as class president.

Before beginning her career as a Physician Assistant, Lucy completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Trauma at the University of Kentucky, where she contributed to multiple clinical studies, IRB protocol development, and manuscript writing. She also gained valuable experience as a student athletic trainer for the University of Kentucky’s football, swimming, and diving teams, supporting athlete rehabilitation, injury management, and performance optimization.
