Biography

Steven ‘Caleb’ Walls, PT, DPT is licensed physical therapist specializing in the treatment of orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries.

Before joining The CORE Institute, Steven participated in a thirteen-month sports residency at Proaxis Physical Therapy (ATI) in South Carolina. Here he worked alongside PhD research mentors, as they developed a Shoulder Screening Tool for the Boston Red Sox organizations, participated in physical therapy treatments, didactic education, mentorships, and participated in athletic coverage. He received training in PRI, IASTM, FMS, SFMA, Sport Cord, and ultrasound imaging. During his residency, Steven attended weekly educational symposiums, didactic dissection labs, and weekly clinical and surgical observations at Greenville Health System and Steadman-Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. Steven provided sports sideline and medical coverage, as well as, athletic training room coverage for North Greenville University Football, several local high schools, and community outreach events such as USAT Triathlon, USA Olympic Cycling Criterion, and half marathons.

Steven is McKenzie Part A (lumbar spine) certified, and has experience in outpatient orthopedics, vestibular evaluations, and treatments, as well as acute clinical experience in neurological, ICU and ICCU. He received hands-on experience in sports medicine treating athletes from six years of age to collegiate levels.

Steven completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. During his undergraduate education pursuits, he graduated cum laude, recognized each semester on the Academic Deans list, was a Four-year Pioneer Football League Athletic Honor Student, and earned the Universities Exercise Science Academic Honor Student Award.
