Nicholas K. Wischmeier, MD is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle reconstruction. Dr. Wischmeier has a special interest in ankle replacement surgery, foot deformity correction, sports injuries, and foot and ankle trauma and arthritis.

Dr. Wischmeier completed his orthopedic foot and ankle fellowship training at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute. He received his orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he served as the Team Resident Physician for several local high schools Dr. Wischmeier obtained his medical degree from University of Nebraska School of Medicine. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he was a member of the football and basketball team and graduated with highest distinction.

Dr. Wischmeier is a member of the American Medical Association, AO Orthopedic Trauma and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
