Jesse Anderson, MD, FRCSC is a Canadian board certified and dual fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon passionate about improving the quality life of his patients. He has a keen interest in primary and revision joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. Dr. Anderson also has an interest in arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, and ankle, including non-operative treatment options and rehabilitative principles for sports injuries.
Dr. Anderson received dual fellowship training in sports medicine as well as primary and revision joint replacement at the University of Toronto in Canada. Passionate about the world of sports and activity, Dr. Anderson worked with several professional sports teams throughout his time in Toronto. He was involved with game time coverage, player physicals and operating on players from the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and Toronto Argonauts. A varsity and junior hockey player himself, Dr. Anderson’s strong interest in athletics and the musculoskeletal system lead him to the University of Alberta where he completed his orthopedic residency. Dr. Anderson obtained his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary in Canada.
Dr. Anderson is an active member of the medical scientific community. He has lectured at the University of Toronto and involved in numerous research projects. His work has been published in academic journals, such as the Journal of Tissue Engineering and Journal of Biomechanics. Dr. Anderson is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, Canadian Orthopedic Association, Canadian Arthroplasty Society and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
