About

Ryan Johnson, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, is a licensed physical therapist and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, graduating magna cum laude from Appalachian State University, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Winston-Salem State University. He also completed an Orthopedic Residency Program through Upstream Rehabilitation.

Ryan brings extensive experience in treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions and sports-related injuries. He has served as a Clinic Director and Manager, mentoring new therapists and leading advanced training in areas such as return-to-sport rehabilitation, overhead athlete care, and evidence-based manual therapy. In addition to his clinical experience, Ryan is an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University, where he teaches orthopedic evaluation and dry needling techniques.

He holds multiple certifications, including Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Champion Performance Specialist, and Blood Flow Restriction Training. Ryan is passionate about optimizing performance and helping patients safely return to the activities they love.
