The CORE Institute® is actively engaged in patient outcome research, perfecting our minimally invasive techniques for joint replacement using our state of the art operating rooms. The Stryker i-Suite™ operating rooms are designed with the most advanced equipment for minimally invasive surgery, using a state of the art computer navigation system. The two rooms, also known as "smart suites," are the most advanced minimally invasive, computer assisted surgery suites in the world.

Located at Del Webb Memorial Hospital, they create an optimal operating environment for the entire medical team, as well as for patients receiving care. Image-guiding technology, voice activation, real-time documentation of procedures and consultation between the suites, surgeons' offices, and other areas of the hospital or around the world are among the features of these suites. Through advancements of the Stryker voice-activation and video technologies in the suites, the CORE surgeon has improved control over medical equipment and diagnostic image movement. With voice command, the system has capabilities to summon X-rays or images from various locations or surgeons' offices so they can be viewed immediately on flat-panel screens. The surgeon also can document the surgery with pictures or video and dictate notes to the hospital network and medical practice office.

Del Webb Hospital is the only hospital in Arizona that has fully integrated, all digital operating rooms with voice activation, image-guided surgery and digital imaging from physician offices. The suites are among the first 10 of their kind in the country.
