Amanda Matje, PA-C, joins The CORE Institute as a certified physician assistant focusing on hand and upper extremity surgery. A native of Northern Arizona, Amanda began her studies at University of Arizona, followed by Northern Arizona University where she completed her undergraduate education. Amanda graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Biology, was awarded a Centennial scholarship and earned Dean’s List distinction. She then received a Master’s of Medical Science degree in physician assistant studies at Midwestern University.
During her training, Amanda gained valuable experience in specialties including family and internal medicine, women’s health, emergency medicine, dermatology, pediatric orthopedics and general orthopedics. She also served as a Physical Therapy Technician whereby she administered various therapeutic treatments for the duration of patients’ post operative recovery.
In her leisure, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and Chihuahuas as well as recreational activities including mountain biking, rock climbing, volleyball and softball.
